Offroad enthusiast + Founder & Owner of 4×4 Offroad & Xpedition

Off-roading is first and foremost a passion and hobby for Stiven. He is one of the lucky few that is able to turn his life-long love and interest into a diversified line of business that’s still firmly rooted in the niche of 4x4s and off-roading.

He first started to make an impact on the off-road scene in 1997 where he served as the main scout and event route planner alongside the founder of the Rainforest Challenge (RFC), Mr. Luis Wee, and has never looked back since . From there on, he has been the key person in assisting many global and local 4×4 and off-roading events & competitions, spearheading the set-ups, routes and campsites management, as well as having a hand in challenge design, scrutinizing and scoring.

Stiven has also competed in various major off-roading and was the team manager for the Petronas team that won overall first runner up and class champion in RFC in the 3000cc category, as well as leading the SsangYong team to victory in the 2000cc category.

He has clocked numerous overland and international off-road expeditions under his belt, notably arduous journeys that spans months into Inner Mongolia, Siberia and various parts of China. He is the one of only three members in the Petronas Adventure Team (PAT) that has participated and supported all 10 overland 4×4 journeys held by Petronas between 1999 and 2008 to as part of the conglomerate’s fuel & lubricants development and international ties strengthening initiatives.

 A firm believer and advocate of 4×4 professional training , he has expanded his 4×4 equipment and accessories business to include 4×4 training and events – counting numerous large multi-national corporates as clients who benefited from professional level guidance and training in the area of 4×4 vehicles handling and usage. The Annual Train & Drive conducted under his Four Trax Academy training arm has skilled and equipped countless 4×4 enthusiasts to maximise safety and optimise the handling of their 4×4 vehicles in the past 20 years without fail.

Stiven has also participated in many rescue and safety support missions, and played an integral part in many relief missions both locally and internationally, including aid efforts for the Tacoban tsunami in Phillipines, the major flood in Bangkok, Thailand, among others . Chances are, you would have seen him supporting major sporting events around town as well, such as the Malaysian GP F1 race and many major marathons and sporting events in Malaysia, such as Marvel Run, Spartan Race, and so much more .

Despite all this, Stiven counts his network of local and international off-road enthusiasts and fans his greatest achievement and looks forward to many , many more years of expanding & enhancing the 4×4 and off-road industry in Malaysia for the next generation of nature enthusiasts. He is currently still actively participating in off-road and 4×4 events both locally and globally .
